Exercises for stomach toning and firming often have somewhat funny names, and it is not always clear why. We have never heard exactly why Renegade Dumbbell Rows are called what they are called, but names matter little. Exercises for stomach strengthening are based not on their monikers but on their ability to assist people with achieving their toning and flattening goals. Renegade Dumbbell Rows work to do just that through the use of dumbbell hand weights.
The person doing Renegade Dumbbell Rows begins with his or her body on the ground in a form not unlike a push up position. Yet, rather than supporting the body with palms flat on the ground, the individual actually holds onto the handles of the dumbbells while the weights rest on the ground. From here the individual lifts one arm at a time until the upper arm is parallel to the rest of the body and the elbow is bent to a 90 degree angle. Doing this motion over and over again and alternating the arms back and forth is certainly a good way to strengthen the arms, but the sheer need to keep the body rigid and in a push up position also makes Renegade Dumbbell Rows potentially effective exercises for stomach muscles, especially if the workout is done on a regular basis.
